Dyeing before cutting and sewing allows for more consistent colour across the entire fabric. Since the entire batch is dyed together, there is only a +.5 to -.5 variation in colour from piece to piece as compared to garment dyeing where the colour variance can be as high as +2.5 to -2.5.

Imperfections are identified and resolved at the fabric stage, so any imperfections are addressed before final production. Traditional garment dyeing sees waste of 20-30% finished apparel; the Earth Wash® dyeing process results in zero waste.

Pre-dyeing the fabric means that the colour is locked within and stable, allowing you the opportunity to experiment with unique designs, patterns, and gradients using the same inks and temperatures that you are already comfortable using. No special printing instructions necessary.
