OEKO-TEX® is a third-party certification program for a trusted solution. OEKO-TEX® standards enable everyone to make responsible decisions and protect natural resources. Driven by sustainability and a dedication to transparency, their work is grounded in proven science.
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100
Check the label for apparel items that are OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified. STANDARD 100 is one of the world's best-known labels for textiles tested for harmful substances. It stands for customer confidence and high product safety.
Strict criteria catalogue
Every component of an article has to comply with the strict OEKO-TEX® test criteria: from the coating, the outer material and the stitching, to the application and zipper.
Globally standardized
The test criteria are globally standardized and are updated at least once a year on the basis of new scientific information or statutory requirements.
Independent test institutes
The tests are conducted and the certificates issued exclusively by neutral and independent OEKO-TEX® test institutes.

Using the number on the label you can check the validity of the certification at any time.
OEKO-TEX® STeP Certification
STeP focusses on the certification of the entire production chain from the first thread to the final zipper. OEKO-TEX® STeP is constantly evolving to meet changing industry requirements, provide benchmarking and guide facilities in continuous improvement.
STeP differs from other certification systems because, instead of considering only individual sustainability aspects, it includes a comprehensive analysis and assessment of the production conditions instead. STeP analyses all important areas of a company using 6 modules:

Environmental and chemical management
STeP provides targeted support to companies to help them implement environmentally friendly production processes in the long term: from the use of chemicals and responsible handling of wastewater to the reduction of carbon emissions.
Safety
STeP recommends specific actions to improve working conditions and strengthens health and safety protection for workers at the production sites.
Social responsibility
STeP supports socially responsible and fair working conditions at production sites. This includes both checking working times, wage payments and social insurance as well as compliance with hygiene and medical requirements. The recognition of existing social standards in the production facility is also part of STeP.
Efficiency
STeP contributes towards the continuous improvement of production processes and the efficient use of resources, and thus creates the basis for an optimum competitive position.
Organic Cotton
Organic cotton is grown without fossil fuel-derived pesticides or synthetic fertilizers.
Recycled Materials
All of our recycled polyester is made from plastic which is cleaned, shredded, converted into pellets then spun into high-quality yarn. In addition to reducing waste, recycled polyester lowers carbon emissions and diverts plastic bottles away from landfills and waterways.
PFAS Free
This water-repellent fabric treatment is free from PFAS (per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances), commonly known as "forever chemicals."
